JULY 8: Invasive Species Awareness Week
Help Us Yank Out Unwanted Plants
Help us remove invasive plants threatening our gardens on Monday, July 8, 9:30-11:30 a.m., in one of many events being held statewide during New York's 6th annual Invasive Species Awareness Week. Park in Lot #1; meet in the Lady Bird Johnson Demonstration Garden.
We have work gloves, but could use extra tools. If you can bring your own, we'd appreciate it. Dress in long sleeves, pants, and closed footwear. Email us (wcc.nativeplant@sunywcc.edu) if you can come.
Please consider joining us also on every Monday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for regularly scheduled volunteer workdays as we spiff up our gardens. Any amount of time you can offer is appreciated. Meet in the Lady Bird Johnson Demonstration Garden.
