Plant Identification:

  • Growth form: perennial shrub
  • Leaves: alternate and palmately compound with 3 heart-shaped serrated leaflets
  • Flowers: small greenish with white petals and reddish hairs occur in late spring to early summer
  • Fruit: very edible raspberry-like; bright red to orange-red color; multiple drupes; ripens in mid summer
