Water Chestnut pull\paddle at a private lake Orange County with Moodna Creek Watershed Coucil

There will be a gathering of folks with kayaks\canoes in eastern Orange County next Saturday, August 9, to help control (pull) water chestnuts.

WHO: The event will be led by Kelly Dobbins with the Moodna Creek Watershed Inter-municipal Council (845) 653-6852, KDobbins@orangecountygov.com. Please contact her with any questions.
 
WHEN: Saturday, August 9, 2014, 10:30 a.m. for approximately 2 hours (with a rain date of August 10, same time)
 
WHERE: Highland Mills, NY (since it's a private community lake, location and directions to be relayed to enrolled attendees. It's very pretty and undeveloped so the paddling alone will be fun!)
 
WHATTOBRING: Watercraft & accessories for paddling (vest, paddle etc...) Gloves will be handy, no boats provided. Bring water bottle and lunch, hat and sun screen. 

 

NOTES: to keep things manageable, there will be a cap on total number of folks we can accommodate.
