Torrey Botanical Society Thain Family Forest tour

Tour of The New York Botanical Garden Thain Family Forest and newly renovated Native Plant Garden. The Forest tour will include a walk through the largest remnant, old growth forest in New York City and discuss history of management, invasive species, and ecological restoration. The Native Plant Garden tour will feature native plant conservation, great native plants for the home gardener and the importance of using native plants in the larger landscape. These interpretive tours are free with garden admission and start from the Reflecting Pool in the Leon Levy Visitor Center. See NYBG website for directions.
