Pound Ridge Land Conservancy- Invasives Removal at Halle Ravine

Date:
Saturday, May 5, 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location:
Halle Ravine, Pound Ridge, NY

Old and new volunteers will enjoy working in this beautiful nature preserve on any number of projects we have lined up for this season.  Tree fall took it toll on bridges, trails, and benches late this winter and repairs will continue into May.  We also need volunteers to help maintain forest and watershed health by removing invasive species in an emerging canopy gap off-trail in the preserve.  Participants can learn to identify native vs. non-native invasive species, and how to manage them, and will see and hear birds, frogs, and other signs of Spring.

All ages are welcome.  Parking is available at the preserve entrance on Trinity Pass near the intersection with Donbrook Road.  Please plan to arrive by 10am or find us along the trail.
