Description: Invasive species threaten a diverse and balanced ecosystem and contribute to the loss of native plant species. Go Native U at Westchester Community College will focus on the issue—and what gardeners and landscape managers can do to tackle the problem—during this special back-to-school event. In two companion classes, students will learn the identification of common invasive plant species, a new means of monitoring them, and removal techniques, including a field practicum.
